Since 2003, CMART has been utilized on several high-profile, controversial public infrastructure projects.  Read about a few of the successes CMART has provided to these clients and project teams:

Rhodes Lake Corridor Study
This project's purpose is to determine if a new road corridor is needed in the vicinity of the Orting Plateau in Orting, Washington. Pierce County, Washington used CMART to manage comments from the Draft Programmatic EIS. The final EIS with comments and responses was published in January 2008.
Cortez Hills Expansion Project
The Cortez Hills Expansion Project proposes to develop new facilities and expand the existing mine operations at the Cortez Gold Mine Operations Area in Crescent Valley, Nevada. The project team, which includes ENSR and the Bureau of Land Management, is using CMART to respond to comments on the draft EIS.
Alaskan Way Viaduct Alaskan Way Viaduct
After an earthquake in 2002 it became clear that this critical transportation facility through downtown Seattle was at risk of failure from future earthquake damage.  WSDOT embarked upon this project to identify alternatives for replacement of Highway 99 and the associated seawall. The project team is using CMART to respond to comments on the Draft and Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statements.
Vision 2020
Vision 2020
This study will pave the way for long-range growth management, economic, and transportation strategies for the central Puget Sound region.  The project team is using CMART to streamline communications and public comments through the life of this project.
$1000
Doug MacDonald Challenge
Washington’s former Secretary of Transportation offered a $1000 cash prize to the individual or group that proposed the most effective public communication tool. The contest was sponsored by TRB’s Congestion Pricing Committee. Doug and his staff utilized CMART to manage the overwhelming public response they got during this campaign.

Interstate 90 is a major transportation corridor, linking Puget Sound to eastern Washington and beyond.  WSDOT is working with the US Forest Service, the US Department of Fish and Wildlife, and other agencies to develop the DEIS for expansion and safety improvements in the 15-mile corridor from Hyak to Easton. In response to this project, WSDOT has received over 1,175 comments, 186 items.
Sacramento International Airport Placer Parkway Corridor Preservation Project
The Placer Parkway will be an approximately 15-mile long, high-speed transportation facility, which will connect State Route (SR) 65 in western Placer County to SR 70/99 in south Sutter County. It will link existing and planned development near some of the region’s fastest growing communities while improving access to the I-5 corridor, downtown Sacramento, and the Sacramento International Airport.  Currently in corridor planning and draft EIS stages, the project team will be using CMART to manage comments received from public meetings, stakeholder interviews, advisory committee meetings, and interagency meetings.
